Blinking light ?

Just picked the wife up a new pearl 09 Muran S AWD late yesterday afternoon and I've got a question.

When standing outside the car looking in towards the drivers seat there are two black looking plugs way forwrd on the dash close to the windshield and the one on the right (agin looking in from outside) has blinked all night and is still blinking and I can't find anything in the owners manual to tell me the function of this light or how to turn it off......can anyone help ?

That's the security system indicator. Completely normal.

I called two different dealer service depts. yesterday, prior to reading your reply this morning, and they said the same thing.....it will blink 24/7 except when the key fob is in the ignition.

This light on my 04 SE blinks constantly with the key in the ignition as well.
