Hello, I was wondering what I should do about this problem. So basically, I unplug the plug on the back of the air bag light wen try to install my new stero. Now there is a blinking air bag light. I am unsure what do to, and what danger it pose to me. Can someone please inform me of what should be done and what does the blinking light mean. Thank you.

Bring it in to the dealer and have them reset it with the onboard diagnostics computer at no charge. I did that with no hassle, just tell them your airbag light is going off and ask them to reset it.

They'll charge you a fee for resetting it if they see your shiny new stereo. They'll know you unplugged the light.

Next time, disconnect the battery for several minutes before unplugging the light. This should prevent this from happening again.

that happnd to me, you don't have to go to the dealer, use the search and go through some of the threads. there is a thread with this exact porblem and you can actually turn the car on, then off, on off for several seconds, i don't know the exact steps but it worked for me and it reset the light and it doesn't flash n e more. ill try to find the thread for you.

If your dealer isn't a douche, see if they'll just reset it for you.

maybe next time just let the whole assembly dangle there? When I was farting around with my dash panels, I didn't feel a need to disconnect it, I didn't perceive that it would've really helped me get better access to anything...
