Blinkers won't work

My blinkers have been on the fritz for a while. Sometimes they will blink 4-5 times, sometimes it's 1-2 times, sometimes not at all. I bought from Napa a an Electronic Flasher (EP-34) which they said would fix the problem.However, it does not. I spoke with another Napa store and they confirmed that EP-34 was the correct Electronic Flasher to use for my car.

The new flasher has only three prongs/plugs on the end. The flasher that controls the turn signals (I checked to make sure I was removing the correct one) has four prongs/plugs.

Any advise as to what I'm doing wrong or if I have the incorrect part from Napa?

I would take the flasher you removed up to NAPA and let them double check.

What happens when you put on your hazard lights? Does it matter which way you were signaling?

Not a bad idea...I'd have to return the old on anyway.

No, it doesn't matter which direction you put the turn signal. It behaves the same either way.

At this point I'm sure this sounds dumb; but have you checked to make sure all your turn signal bulbs are functioning?
