I was hit basically right on my sidemarker on the driver side a while ago by a Yukon in my 89 240sx. My left front blinker hasnt worked since then and now i have the bumper and fenders off because of pulling the engine so i figured i might as well look at it.

The bulb looks fine and the wiring looks to me like it is in decent shape. I have the red and black wires going to both front driverside blinkers so im not sure what could be causing this to not work? Should there be more than 2 wires going in to them? Could a fuse somewhere have blown? Maybe the bulbs both went up on me at the same time right hen i got hit? Kinda doubtful but im clueless here.

Thanx!

easy check:

use a multimeter & check that the ground wire is fine & the power wire is getting power when you turn on ur parking lights.

If they don't, then something is wrong w/ your wire or fuse - wouldn't explain why only one side doesn't work if it's a fuse.

If they work, then it's ur bulb.

Yes there are only 2 wires.

You can always bypass them and make ur own .

Blinker fluid by chance?Test with meter or test light. I had my front turn signal and side marker go out on me about a month ago.Last week installed my new clear turn signals and just hooked up and now they all work again...Didn't touch anything.I'm having a small grounding issue so maybe that was the problem.
