Ha! For your amusement/entertainment: I lined up next to a newer Ford Exploder with a V8 and those stupid twenty inch (maybe bigger) chrome wheels and a bump-diddy-bump from the stereo. Kid was maybe 19, visor turned backward and upside down=total wannabe. He had dual exhaust tips poking out of the back and a couple buddies inside.

I was in the lane that ended up ahead (his went through) and he thought he was gonna be a smartass and keep me from getting over. I launched with no wheelspin (on purpose) and at my shift point from 1-2, my rear wheels were at his open window. I nailed second and spun 'em pretty good. Nice, loud squealing sound and just left him. I got over in front of him and hit my hazards. I love smoking smart guys like this, especially when they've got a V8.

I'm not sure about the Durango R/T, but the Dakota R/T is FAST!!I got to ride in one (not drive :( ) and it would destroy ANY 240 that isn't built a LOT!

Yeah on my way to work this mourning I was lined up at a red light(in my Pathfinder) with a caviler(new). I wasn't going to do anything and started off slow but I had to get over and basically hit the gas a lil. This guy throws his car back into 1st and cuts me off -- so then I floor it just to piss him off, I didn't get in front of him because I had to turn, but I bet he is still wondering why he would have got beat by a 2 ton car-----hahahaha

Hey klorocks,

I never said it was surprising, not to me anyway. Probably to the guy in the Explorer. I simply put that out there for amusement. Which one of us hasn't run across some assbag in an SUV that thought he/she was the s***? I just got to smoke one is all. Why the sarcasm?

Actually, theres a lot of cars now that are grocery getters and family vehicles that would destroy the 240SX....a Caddilac Eldorado weighs 2 tons and it would win. : ) The new 3.5 Altimas and Maximas would win. : ) Theres lots of cars....So its not such a bad thing to take some of the newer, bigger cars out.

How about the Denali and Escalade? They run in the 15's at 5,000+ pounds, regardless of the weather! Lingenfelter has bolted a blower and some other mods to Silverados that now run 12's (not much to do in Decatur, IN).

Keep it all in perspective though. I've got a little over $3k in my car and hold the title. If I spent the same $ on my car that I would spend on an SUV that would beat it, I'd have a 500hp car that would stick to a roadcourse like velcro.

You guys all know that winning a race isn't just about having the faster car. You've got to know how to drive it. I beat a new G35 a week or two ago in my wife's '99 F150. Through a couple turns no less. The 'Fin guy (a salesman) didn't know how to drive it. He was trying, but didn't really have a clue. He pulled away when the road straightened out, but not like you'd expect from that car.
