Thanks for the info! I bought a used module. Not sure if that matters. Would I have to remove the bumper to replace it? Once it's in I could take it to the dealer if it has to be activated. It would be much cheaper than the $1800 the quoted for the new part & labor they quoted.VStar650CL wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 2:13 pmYour ride uses side radars located at the corners of the rear bumper. See DAS-425 and DAS-592 here:

Note that the units aren't plug-and-play. They come from the factory deactivated and have to be turned on using work support software. I'm not sure if anything besides a dealer Consult3+ can do that.
Perfect. Thanks!VStar650CL wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 2:45 pmA used one should already be activated. I'm not sure on an M, but on most of them you can take one side of the bumper fascia loose and hang it on a bungee without removing the whole thing.
I installed the new module today, but I'm still getting the same error. I wonder if it still has to be activated for my car even though it's used. I'm assuming there's no way I can reset the system myself, right?
Makes sense.VStar650CL wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 1:57 pmNot that I know of. They don't specify what the "activation" is, so it occurs to me that it may be to arrange a handshake between the radar and the ADAS. If so, it would still be necessary even with a used one.
