Yea i just cracked the freaken block on my engine...getting a new block from junk yard, keeping the head cuz its still good,...getting it rebuilt....getting it honed(mispelled prob)and boared four liters....getting restored to original mileage,gonna be done in two weeks....is it worth it?its gonna cost me under 1K.

what are you plans for the motor? do it right the first time. 1K souds good. make sure the shop is good for it

what shop? I was quoted 3g's lol'd real hard that day....watch yourself around these shops....what do you mean to four liters?two weeks is not that bad, again when quoted 3g's, they said upwards of a month, lol some more. btw you on 240 sx dot net? its a local 240 forum, pretty mellow.

the shop is owned by one of my best friends fathers friend and my friend got his done for 125$ so the under a grand thing is a hook up

oh yea and the other question im it getting bored to a 2.8 liter

damn can I be your friend, so I can get that hook up, got a sohc block sitting I need to do something with. j/p what side of jax man? we have a few guys around town...oh 4tenths I got you. dont go too crazy with it, IIRC max boar is .060 over. I would like to know how said motor died?

the engine light was on, i figured it was the O2 sensor so i ignored it.so one day i was going down I-295 all the fluids were fine i check them every two weeks so i was driving for about an hour the the engine started getting louder so i zoned it out then i saw the meter skyrocket from cold to hot it went from hot to cold in a matter of seconds as soon as i pulled over it slung a rod and i could feel it.so i called a tow truck to take me home then i let it cool down then i checked the block and it was CRACKED,and then later the light was on because of the thermostat.......and yea im in orange park
