ok so yesterday i went to the tire store to get new tires. they jacked the car up and went to start with the rear. as they were trying to take the wheel off the wheel had play in it. They had told me it was the wheel bearing that was blown and i would need to replace it or my wheel would fall off. So honestly im scared now to drive anywhere but i need to know where to get the hub assembly, how hard it is to change. Also when i look online it comes up with a part number 512014 which they say is called the hub bearing assembly and its 130$ but when i call a autoparts store they tell me is 512377. I need this asap. also would anyone reccommend a used hub? off a parts car.

Call a local dealership to get the exact part number first.

Here's a thread regarding it:

The 512014 is "the bearing only, to get the hub pressed in."

Cheaper to just get the bearing and press it in if you're doing the work yourself, but if you're taking it to a shop, do whatever they say is cheaper. It'll be the same mechanical outcome either way.

LOL your wheel isn't going to fall off.

Usually it's fine just to replace the bearing, unless the bearing had completely failed and damaged the hub
