So some Phuking A**hole put a strap of 8 nails in front of my driverside front wheel. Luckily my rim is okay but my beloved Falken 452 is far beyond repairable. If some of you are local to me, I'm quite sure you know a shop named TopSpeed. For my profile tires, all they have in stock is Nanking. All my buddies work there and I can get a Nanking to replace my Falken for a bit under $100*. Keep in mind this is a 19". So here are my options. The rest of my Falkens can last me the rest of this summer, will have to replace tires next summer.

1) Purchase a Nanking and ride it out for the rest of the summer. Replace all 4 with higher end tires next summer.

2) Purchase two Nankings and put them on the rear of the car. Next time I replace tires, all I need are the fronts. (I'd use Nitto or Falken, maybe Kumho)

3) Purchase a new Falken to replace the old one, but it would have alot more wear than my other tires.

Thanks! I need to drive my car so I have to decide ASAP

Id say number 2 is your best option, keep it even.

Why did you pick to put the old ones in the front and the new ones on the back?

i don't know much about tires but i do know that you never want to replace 1 tire, always replace in pairs. i'd say just replace the blown tire and your passenger front tire and leave it at that. not sure why you'd want to switch your worn out rear with your fronts, the falken's may handle better but i think new nankangs would be better than worn out falkens.

Either buy a pair of new tires, or if you are worn down enough, just buy all 4 now - it will save you a lot of time, hassle and some expense instead of having to go twice for mounting/balancing. Also don't bother with TopSpeed for tires, just go to one of the major tire retailers. You are in Chicago - TireRack is really close in Indiana so shipping from there is pretty cheap. Or you can go to Discount Tire - DT Direct has free shipping or you can go to one of the retail stores and have them price match the online price. You will have much better choices in tire brand and size. If for some reason you don't want to purchase online, check out tiresdirect.net and give them a call, they are located in Addison.

What's up bro? Sorry about what happened; the Falken 452 is a good tire. I would either good with choice number one or choice number two. With choice number two, wait until you need to replace all four so you can put four new falcons, or nitto's on there. By the time those Falcon's need to be replaced, those new Nankings will have caught up and need to be replaced around the same time as well. You don't want to ride with Falcons up front and Nankings in the back. It defeats the purpose of having high end Falcons or any high end tires on the car period. The ride quality want be where it should for the money you spent buying the two high end tires.

If possible do all 4, if not just the 2

Thanks for the input guys, I'm going to get a pair of new Falkens.. price is going to be $320 for both... which is better than I expected but still more than I would have liked to spend. I was going to replace all of them next summer, was going to wait for a buy 3 get one free deal. Guess I'll just use one of the existing ones as spare. Its funny cause I put on the 17"volks GT-Vs from my Rx7 in the front for now... looks really tacky.
