I blew my clutch last week racing some idiot and now I'm f**ck.(I won tought.) I can get a regular clutch for $100 and turn the flywheel for $65 but I was thinking to buy a racing clutch and a lightenend flywheel(11 lbs.) What clutch should I go for and what flywheel.

I got my Centerforce for $195 at http://www.NOPI.comThey have more expensive clutches, like Clutchmasters and stuff, but i didnt have the cash. As for your flywheel, ive seen them JUN USA, Unorthodox, Clutchmasters, AASCO, all of which were over $400. Too rich for my blood. Maybe, several years down the road, when i need a new clutch and i have the dough, ill pick one up. Its all about what you can spend.

Don't waste your time and or money on anything less than an ACT clutch, they simply kick mucho a$$. I could dump mine from 5,000rpm and have the car hook, and the clutch never gave out on me. Jay is running his clutch (rated at 267crank ft. lbs. of torque) at over 380 rear wheel Ft Lbs and it dosn't slip)

The centerforce he had before that was a total pile, and slipped at 7psi even when brand new. I'm sure you don't intend on going turbo, but get an ACT because it's the best thing on the market IMHO.

BTW Ken at Enjukuracing.com has them for a fair price,

I can sell you an ACT street disc, and Pressure Plate for $279. It is in stock.

Its a great clutch, ive used 5 clutches so i have a good idea on the quality between different clutches.

You can call rollhard, email or IM me (LI240sxrep) if your interested....Just mention the board so i know who you are.

If you want a streetable clutch go with SPEC. I have their stage 2 and it is perfect for a daily driver (no lauching backwards trying to parallel park). I'd say that the pedal feel is the same as or maybe even softer than stock and it will hold 300 ft lbs. Enjuku has them for sale 279 w/ free shipping.

Im not going to bash another clutch, but i would never recommend a star clutch over an ACT. I have done some writeups on the quality of the star clutch in the past. (the Sr application) if you search you might find that, not sure...but i think the consensus you will find will be the ACT is prefered over Star.

Well I wanna thanks everybody for your opinions and I think I'm gonna go with ACT. Jesse I will be emailing you as soon as I get the money to buy it. Also don't I need a throw out bearing ,alignment tool, and pilot bearing? Does it comes with it or how much would it be with it?

depending on how the throw out bearing looks, and how many miles on it, you can choose to not replace it. Most people would say to replace it, and i would say since you have the transmission out, do it now anyway, you can just get a throw out bearing from the local nissan dealership for like $35.

if a shop is doing your clutch they would have an alignment tool, if not someone here has to have an extra one lying around they can send you : )
