Hey guys, Finially blow my motor...Not that I was trying. I just blew a rod..and decided since im going turbo then go down the built path to be safe now...

I saw on a couple of sites of the TOPLINE REBUILD KITS? Anyone heard? It comes with Everything you need to rebuild the internals...But the rods...I gotta find them somwhere...Well the Topline kit had an option to get oversize pistons..Yes the Piston are stock, but new, would oversize help for turbo.Right now I have a Silvia Disco Patato...Gt28 Turbo...So wanna know if that will hold up....

here the link to the rebuild kit:http://www.rpmmachine.com/engi....html

Also on ebay I found a rebuild kit that included the stock Forged Rods...If anyone can find that please tell me...I tried searching agian on Ebay but its GONE...Now I only find KA Single Cam rebuilds..

Here is what I was gonna do...Exactly...

Topline Engine Rebuild...Sell the pistons if you guys dont thinnk the oversize stock will hold...(Then get aftermarket wiesco pistons.)Was Gonna go Stock FORGED RodsNew Valvetrain..Oversized Exhuast Valves .5mmPort and Polish the exhuast opening to flow better and polish intake mani to flow better...New Timing Chains

Planning to boost 15psi on rebuild.

Sry about hte sooo long..But I search for OVersize Sizes and such..hopeless...

Thanks for helping in advance so i cna get to saving for w/e now...

That turbo isn't good for much past 300WHP on the KA if you're lucky. So if you're not swapping it out for a bigger one you'll only need to buy stuff for that power level.

You don't need new valves at all, unless they are damaged. If anything get a set of cams and valve springs, but again, either will be way overkill for 300WHP.

Do yourself a favor and buy forged rods and pistons and then get a rebuild kit for the rest. If I were doing a rebuild, there would be no way in hell I'd install stock parts back in. Another option is the AMS crate motor. Comes with everything you'll need already assembled professionally.

There is a problem in your current setup.. Whether it be an oiling issue, or a tune issue.. I'd evaluate what caused this failure.. Your current turbo should not have been able to blow your engine from power alone..

The exhaust side is too small.. Exhaust pressure is going to cause complications at any reasonable power level on your car. Look for something more well rounded for your power goals..

Spend a little more money on a better setup. If you throw that turbo back on your engine with the same setup and forged internals, you are just gonna ruin a more expensive engine.. From what I have seen, none of the little turbo guys ever keep their engines together with power levels nearing 400whp.. Common denominator is the turbo..

I pieced my rebuild kit together with a lot of upgraded stuff for just a little more than the topline kit. I have been told by numerous people that the topline stuff is kind of weak but I hasve never used it myself so who knows.

Just FYI, I've seen the topline kit and it is *JUNK*. Seriously, spend the money and buy respectable parts. I wouldnt trust the topline parts in my lawn mower.

topline is really only good for most domestic applications, even then they aren't that great, but I have seen worse. As everyone else has said before, you have to pay to play, spend the money right and you can have a long lasting build. You definetly need to figure out exactly why the engine came apart.

AMS crate FTW. Nobody does it better and by the time you finish d!ck around you'll probably spend just as much money and gone to so much more trouble.
