I decided to do a little work on the 240 today.. new spark plug wires (ive never replaced them and ive put about 60k on the car), and new belts (same thing - bout 60k on them and i get a squeak when its hot outside...)

Lately ive noticed some kinda clunking up front, figured my old crappy stock shocks were blown.. today when I looked under there my sway bar was hanging down :(

One of the bolts came off, so the bracket got all moved and vibrated around, which resulted in the bushing falling off and the bracket being bent to ****..

Got new bushings from Nissan ($5.99 each.. not bad) but the bracket will take 2 - 3 days to get if I order it on Monday.. gonna see if I can bend the bracket back to its near original form so I can use it for now..

Friggin old cars! aGH!

just playing. Well you bought an old car expect **** to happen. Unless your going to rebuild your car like me, you don't know what the previous owner(s) have done or not done.

eh, i've seen worse on this board... your probs are minor w/ its age... just be glad that its only those items & not somtehing worse.

Side note:I'm running on dayco/pepboys belts since 96 & they're still look good on my car w/ no squealin' @ all...

Aftermarket plug wires: same story, but I used their lifetime warranty clause to score me a new set after 8 years in service. I did the ohm test & the original set was still w/in spec <shrugs>

u musta hit a pothole to do that; i know i did when i was in nyc, but cuaght it & ghetto fix the swaybar endlink B4 it got worse...
