ive searched and couldnt find the answer. i put in new therm and water pump and i have to bleed the system. i found that its a bleeder screw by the upper rad hose. well as i lookd at the upper hose i found that its 2 screws near the hose. which one do i unscrew to bleed the system. one screw is smaller than the other.. oh yea my car is a 89 sohc btw. thanks

if youre burping, do what i did: park your car on an incline with the front (radiator) at the highest point. air bubbles will be forced to the filler neck, so run your car with the rad. cap off, top off as necessary, and when you see no more air moving out of the coolant, youre good to go.

There's also the bleed port that will work on flat ground. Just unscrew it, as soon as you see coolant coming out, you're good to go... It's located right at the upper radiator house connection at the block.

I think you have let it run until thermostat opens up and wait till it cools down little bit and add more coolant untill it fills up 100% in the radiator.

you should notice it pretty quickly, you will see the gauge spike and hear the coolant "percolate"
