Ok, I have a 92' 240sx. I put a new master clutch cylinder in beacuse the old one was leaking. This is like a 10 min. job, but afterwards you need to bleed the clutch lines. I have my chilton and I know there are 2 bleed off valves but I was out there for like 2 hours trying to bleed the damn lines and the clutch still has no pressure to it. What the hell am I doing wrong. It seems like an easy enough job and I was soing it exactly as the chilton says, had my buddy up top while I was down below. When I turn the bleeder valves fluid sprays out. It almost seems as if it is spraying more out than it is taking in. Because hardly any is getting sucked through from the master clutch cylinder. Any suggestions.

i'm sure that you tightened the bleeder valve before you had your friend pull the pedal up...

When putting in a new master cylinder, make you you bench bleed i first, it helps to get all the air bubbles out of the master cylinder itself, otherwise you get an air pocket that will just compress.

I belive the chilton covers bench bleeding, but regaurdless you should look into a Factory service manual.

I wish i would have known that earlier, it took forever to bleed my system with a new master cyl.
