This is a really newbish question, but I followed the procedure for bleeding the power steering system and I still can't get it to work properly. The manual says to jack the front wheels off the ground and turn the steering wheel from left to right (lock to lock). Repeat.

Does anyone have any ideas for better bleeding practices? The reservoir bubbles when the engine is running. RB25DET btw.

With the cap off and turning to full lock are you holding it there for a couple of seconds before turning?

What about your power steering system isn't working? And what kind of fluid are you using?

I did mine with the motor running and everything went fine. As far as fluid, when I fixed it I filled it with powersteering fluid but started reading where Nissan used automatic transmission fluid so I bled the P/S fluid out and replaced it ATF and haven't had any problems since.

Well, it is easy to turn to the left but when I turn to the right it feels like I dont have any help. Plus, there is bubbling in the reservoir that I never noticed before.

I'll give it another shot this weekend and see if I can correct it. Thanks guys.
