Get a buddy, have buddy pump clutch 6 times and hold in after 6th pump, open bleeder screw slightly till fluid comes out. At this point the clutch pedal will stay down and not pop back up. Just manual pull it up. Repeat till no more bubbles come out. Would be nice to have some sort of clear tubbing to fit over the nipple so you can visibly see bubbles comming out. Once no more bubbles is seen, you are done. Tighten up everything. Keep eye on resivoir to make sure it don't go empty.

if the dampner gives you problems such as the bleeder valve snapping off you can hand bend the line straight into the hose bypassing the dampner. makes it much easier to bleed. it also helps to have a 3rd person monitor and fill the reservoir so you dont inadvertantly empty it.

definately remove the dampener, after that you can use the 2 person method or just gravity bleed ( open the bleeder and let fluid run out ) however if you do gravity bleed keep a sharp eye on the level. these systems are very easy to bleed once the dampener has been removed and any remaining air bubbles that may remain after bleeding will quickly work themselves out.

So is removing the dampener alot of work?

What are the pros and cons of removing the dampener?

to bypass the dampener just undo the lines unbolt it and toss it aside, then you will need to very gently bend the hardline coming from the master cylinder around to meet the rubber hose going to the slave. connect the hoses and bleed the system. the benefits of a removed damper are the system is way easier to bleed and the pedal is more responsive and has a more positive feel.

yep be careful when bending the lines. they kink with too much force. if you have a couple extra bux, then pick up a tuibing bender a the parts store. it allows you to make smooth bends w/o kinking the line. also for the really clean install it looks better to trim the line back some. but for that youll need a flare tool. i gotr the bender and flarer for less than ten bux.

plus the trimmed line minus the damper is a weight savings. nothing like losing 15 oz and popping a wheelie woo hoo.
