heres the short version of a long story. got my sr, didnt replace any of the clutch bits on the car(car had 238K on it). clutch is some japanesse 3 puck job and was real stiff and really nice for 3months and then the other night the clutch went to the floor and didnt come back(scared the **** outa me). blew the slave cylinder and hose, ripped a big hole in the hose. lucky me i still had all the pieces from my clip(including the nismo slave cylinder, stupid me for not putting it on in the first place). put everything on and bleed the system, my nice stiff clutch pedal is now soft and mushy. so i bleed the system again. i bleed the main line coming out of the master, then i bleed that box on the frame rail, and then i bleed the slave cylinder. it got a little better but not much. i dont have problems shifting gears and the clutch is not slipping and i get full engament when depressed but it got about an inch of play between the top of the pedal and when the clutch starts to engage. any ideas?

BTW: i dont have a JWT pop charger on my car, i dont even like JWT. Enthalpy kicks ***.

so the clutch is fine exept for the play? easy: just adjust the pedal, there is a threaded rod that connects it to the master cylinder, adjust it there (i know its a bad description, but when you look under there you will see)

have you considered removing the dampener box?its that box on the frame rail. when you remove this you get a little bit more feel of the clutch. I think that box is only for comfort.
