Basically we bleed the clutch so no air is coming out, but no pressure is being made to push the clutch pedal back up. It's as if it hasn't been bleed at all. Is there anything that could be causing this problem?

Stab it, it will bleed like a stuck pig!

Seriously though if you truly have worked all the air out either your slave or master cylinder has probably seized up

The clutch system is too simple:Pedal - Master Cylinder - Lines - Slave Cylinder

If it's not leaking and it's bled properly then must be the cylinders.

Cheap - you can pick up both for around $34.00 total.Simple - you stated that you can already bleed the system; just pop those suckers in place and re-bleed

did you bleed the clutch at the proportioning(sp) valve? if so, you may have had the same problem i did. I installed a clutch, and saw that my slave cylinder was dead. After replacing this and attempting to bleed the system, my master cylinder blew out. Finally, after some research I found that the clutch prop. valve is worthless and is prone to problems so I torched the fuc**r out and ran new clutch lines ..... that worked.

Yeah, I don't think it's the slave cylinder. Cause I replaced that at the beginning of summer, but it could be. I'm goin to try to bleed it again tomorrow and if that doesn't work I'll try replacing the master cylinder. Thanks.

If you have bled it and the pedal doesnt come back up, just PULL the pedal back up. That might do it (what i had to do ).

we only bled it for like 20-30 mins maybe thats why my clutch still smokes a little when im in gear, idling, with the clutch pushed in at a stop light.

Also- any suggestions on the correct procedure? or is it just like bleeding brakes?.
