as the title states........ i've allready searched and followed everyones input and advice in other threads.........

the problem is we get NO pressure after replacing the master cylinder... when pumping it and bleeding at the slave the fluid is solid stream and no signs of air bubble....... we even tried bleeding the part that has the block with the bleedervalve and that is also a solid stream of fluid..... i'm stump as to what else it could be?

i've manage to get very little pressure after a few tries but thats it ..... i noticed that if i pull the pedal all the way up and hit the switch on top i loose pressure....... does anyone knoe what this switch does? and why we are not getting any pressure build up?

If the master cylinder rod is too far out of adjustment, the clutch pedal will hit the floor and wont come back up on it's own.

Try adjusting the rod so that it pushes further into the cylinder. (you should see less threads on your side of the clutch pedal than you see now.)

right now the rod is touching the top switch when i pull it back not sure what that switch does thoe......

i manage to get very little pressure to the clutch but once i pull it back up and hits that top switch i loose that pressure .... not that this should matter but at the same time after we get that little pressure built we started the car just to see if we can switch gears but as soon as we started it the pressure is gone ..... i never had a problem bleeding the clutch so this is the first one thats got me stumped....

Did you bleed the Master Cylinder? You have to run a soft line from the reservoir to the outlet of the master cylinder and pump it into itself that way all the air is out of the master cylinder.

It's supposed to touch that switch. That's the clutch starter kill switch. When the circuit is closed ( clutch pedal up), the starter wont work. It's a safety thing.

And please explain "no pressure".

Is the pedal hitting the floor and not coming back up ?

Does the pedal come back up but feel very soft ?

i wasn't there when he switched the master but ill ask if he did, still thoe after pumping all that time i figured air would eventually be pushed out by now...

when i say no pressure i ment, no pressure build up pumping the clutch.... it stays to the floor and barely comes back maybe an inch back .....

not sure if this has anything to do with it but read that several people take that little aluminum block before the slave out and just did a straight line to the slave i guess becuase they had same problems bleeding the clutch.... any ideas?.

Not sure if this will help u but the first time we bled the clutch (removed clutch dampener box/loop) it didn't feel like it was building much pressure. After messing with it for a while the bleeder screw on the clutch SLAVE, once i realized that the bleeder screw only needs to be cracked open a tiny bit, that's when it started to build pressure, and once there was a solid stream/no bubbles we tightened the screw and the clutch pedal was fine. Good luck.

someone mention adjusting the rod so it has more travel ....... so today the clutch is solved...... we had to adjust the top switch and move that away some so that we could get the clutch pedal rod to travel out more and it worked........ i guess since its not an oem master cylinder it may vary with rod travel for proper operation...

so if anyone has problems with there new master cylinder try adjusting the rod ...

again thanks for everyones input.....
