Hmm, I'm still not sure but I'll figure it out later I got the mobo in to day and it is sick, It has crazy extras like dog tags, temp tattoos and even a test bench you make out of plexxy glass and and risers. On top of that a tee shirt and every SATA connector comes with another 4-pin to SATA power connector, also 4 PCI-E and it comes with a 120mm fan. I have it on the test bench now and I'm testing it to make sure every things working befor i put it in the case, I'll have it to gether in about 1-3 hr... Damn I'm not sleeping tonight am I?

Finally got a working cable. They are very useful for diagnosis, imho.

I was trying to figure out why I was failing smog. Kept monitoring things and found that the O2 sensor would go haywire sometimes. Turned out to be corroded spade on O2 sensor wire that would completely or partially lose continuity sometimes.

For some reason, the black coating was 100 percent insulation factor. everytime i lift my hood , water drops on the spade.

ya actually i just bought this,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/...ext-_-

and am posting on it now Installed blazts and have been trying to get it to work, my s14 has a difrent conector than the one i have but luckily my dad caME DOWN AND brought a new radiator for the s13 we charged the battery and put in the new radiator. I drove it to the gas station and parked it out side in the rain to knock off most of the dust. I was just about to go out and mess with it if it wasn't raining, might go out there anyway.

Ok i went out and messed with Dorthy, and it was awesome, found out that I can only open the throttle up most of the way with the pedal to the floor. Very interesting, i'm losing a whole .45 of movement and the whole range is only 3.00. Anyway tomorrow Dorthys license is up oddly enough and I'm going to change insurance and driver her for a week or so, oh and get her licensed tomorrow.

Ok new update, and finally this thread is getting on topic. Blazts is awesome, my favorite feature so far is the on the fly timing adjustment, it's nice. More latter.

What kind of iacv-acc readings are people getting? Mine is 50% open at idle and doesnt seem to change at all during idle. Turning the wheel will bump it up to 67%. If I accelerate it will open up to 80% and then fall as I decelerate. It drops all the way to 30 percent when I come to a stop. Always assumed it would idle up upon decelerating. It doesnt care what I set my idle at . It might only care about coolant temperature.

Thanks. Any info would be good. I dont have blazt. I'm using ecutalk for data logging. It is supposed to be best. I'm getting 50 readings per second.it dumps into notepad file.

I pasted it into the third post in following thread:

zer...nsult

You could dump info in that thread or send an email to [email protected]

prices have come down. the cable is about $37 us shipped from ecutalk and obd scan tech is free now. if money is not a high priority, blazt is good and might have more documentation and support.

Re-up this it gives me an error saying that i can only edit my own posts I'll look into sending you those data logs, I can also make it think the engine temp is a set amount through Blazts, so i'll look into the engine temp aac connection.

Oh ya I also found out that my 240sx can drive down the road with one cylinder firing, it also runs surprisingly well on 2.

oops. corrected link:

zer...nsult

thanks for your efforts. scan tech is supposed to change temp as well. Have to try that again because didnt notice any changes at all.

THe idle on 91=93 is supposed to be rich and in a closed loop. ecu attempts to set a steady idle. O2 sensor is ignored during idle , That is all i could find in fsm. the spec is 15-40 percent open for acc during idle. Adjusting the idle adjustment screw will change the idle and the acc will stay at 50%.

my tps is at .82 which is out of spec. the acceptable range is .5v plus or minus .2 volts.

if i have time i'll check the aac vs. engine temp, also i'll send you some logs when after i get off work.

Also, just for my reference what is tps? I don't have time to look it up.
