I noticed today that the screen on the AC/heat control went out, but the heat still works. Is this a fuse issue, or do I have to replace the unit?

Check the fuse. I have an unfortunate feeling that your unit is gone kaput!

Thanks guys! Thankfully when I got in the car last night it was fine. I don't know if maybe I thought my heat was on yesterday and it wasn't, or if it just came back on it's own. Hopefully I won't have this problem again. If I do I'll check back here for all the tips!

In the '93 and '94 model J30's there was an issue with intermittantly blowing heat in the footwells when the heater was off. Up here it was a recall issue with a free fix. I don't know about the States. I would check with your local Infiniti dealer.

No, you misunderstood. While I thought the screen went out on the AC/ Heat controls, it turns out the heat was probably just off when I thought it was on. I am familiar with the footwell problem, though. Thanks.

All you have to do is turn the temperature down.... It will stop blowing hot.

Thats what it defaults to when you turn the climate controller off, to maintain airflow...
