Guys looking for answers

3 out of the last 5 start ups I have had a dead center console no Nav screen no lights nothing. Once when I put it in reverse the screen became static as heck I stopped and restarted problem gone.... now I had the same problem again this is becoming pretty frequent. You think I might need a battery soon. 06 M35 67K put into service July 05 time for a battery? Any sugestions?

ThanksHermj

Might be the battery, but if it was, you would also have problems starting the car.

I'd suggest having the dealer check it out ...

Whoa!! That screen and everything being controlled via that screen that only Infiniti can fix.

This is EXACTLY why I bought the Elite Extended Warranty.

Please let us know the diagnosis. Hopefully it is just a battery.

Way to go there on that "Elite" warranty. Hope they used lube

And it doesn't sound like the screen but more of a communication problem between it and the other systems it's connected to. Has your car been in an accident? You could need a new Nav unit or the screen comes out as a unit and is replaced. Good thing you are covered under warranty, but it is relatively easy to change out. If you can use a socket to remove a bolt, then you can remove that by yourself if needed.

We have the FSM on this board and we can help you use it. That's why we are here.

Good luck getting it figured out.
