Hello! So my question is very simple. I am a total noob to 240's and swaps so I figured I would come here for help. Which engine is best/better to put in a 240? A SR20 or an RB20!? Please help!

Well if you are talking about sr20det's then maybe a blacktop compared to a redtop would be better. Check out through some of the post. You will learn a lot. Good luck

Search search search. This is the most basic 240 question and the answer is everywhere. Your post and your question are two seperate things. An rb20 is NOT a swappable without modification. An SR20 is a direct swap.

Please search in the future

although it's not as messy as an rb25/26...Will bolt in using stock mounts and R32 crossmember. you can also use aftermarket ones from companies such as McKinney and TopHat Will use stock 5 speed driveshaftCustom downpipe may be needed for both S13 and S14Electric fans are requiredCustom throttle cable bracket may be requiredTach adapter or gauge cluster swap required for accurate tach signal^from sticky in the rb section

overall though, you'll spend about the same i think.they both have great potential sooi guess it's up to you if you wanna say "i have an sr" or "my car has the heart of a skyrine"
