Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone on here has swapped a blacktop sr t25 turbo onto their CA. It looks to me like the turbo housings are different.Any help would be great.

Youre one of the few CA owners Ive talked to in middle TN. We should get a 240 meet together sometime. So what do you do about the vacuum hose that used to connect to the little nipple on the intake side of the ca turbo? Its right next to where the intake hose connecst to the turbo. Thanks

The turbo will work and is a common upgrade for the CA. Should bolt right up and you might wanna pick up some Stainless Steel lines incase the hardlines dont work. Can anyone confirm this? Do you necessarily have to "clock" the turbo?

Heres a shot of the stock CA turbo showing the nipple youre talking about. I believe the purpose of this nipple is just a vacuum source for the wastegate actuator. You should be able to tee it of another source.

Thanks for the pic man, it really helps. Yeah, I laid the two turbos down side by side, and it doesnt look like it will need to be clocked, all the oil and coolant lines appear to line up. So can I just block off that vacuum hose that used to connect to the nipple? I already have a hose connecting to the wastegate actuator.

i have a SSauto**** manifold and i had to clock the turbo. The compressor side outlet will hit the manifold. Not sure how it would be on the stock manifold.

Why not do a test fit to see if everything lines up or bolts up ok?

A lot of people have done this upgrade as it a very inexpensive and relatively easy thing to do. The blacktop SR uses 370cc injectors so there shouldnt be a fuel problem as long as your fuel pump is up to par. Cap off the extra hose/fitting.

I have done this. I'm pretty sure you'll have to clock the compressor housing slightly. I didn't even bother with loosening the C-clip, I put the elbow on and put the center section in a vice and pulled on it slightly. It'll turn that way just fine and won't hurt anything.

Nice. That might be a good upgrade to do once I get my ride running right.

Mine came with that turbo from the importer. FYI, it is a T25G with a .80A/R.
