blacktop manifolds on redtop?

Does anyone know if it would be possible to swap on a blacktop intake and exhaust manifolds on to a redtop? I ask because I am considering installing an EGR valve and it appears since the blacktop had one and the redtop did not that I would need the blacktop manifolds with all the holes for the exhaust gases.

If your refering to the s13 b.t and the s13 r.t. yeah. There were only minor changes but the head design is the same and has the same bolt patterns for the intake and exhaust manni.

if he's asking the question, i'd guess that he's not refering to the s13 bt and the s13 rt.....just my opinion.....

Well I guess I could use the s13 bt if it had an egr valve, but I am not sure if it does. I have the service manual for the s14 which does have the egr. Does anyone know if an s13 bt had an egr?

yea it has an external egr setup. the RT

BLue- can you give me an idea of how the egr on the redtop would be. I have service manuals for the CA18 w/ no egr and the blacktop s14 w/ egr but I can not find where I would have one on my redtop. I can obviously see where the aiv has been plugged but I dont see where the exhaust would be pulled from the manifold (that is how the s14 one works).

I would realy like to install one if it is possible because failing emissions could mean me getting rid of my car.

on the extention pipe off the Turbo this a pipe that goes up to the EGR, I can get the EGR out of my box of stuff, and i can send you pix of where it went.

Well I finally have proff that my redtop had an egr valve. I found a pic on this website http://www.pandablue.com/nissa...&PN=1

Now all I need to do is reinstall it, if I can.

EDIT: Well now that I read the article it appears that is not a true egr valve. An egr routes exhaust into the intake to burn it again, what they refer to as an egr in that page seems to be the AIV valve.
