alright, I have an apexi power fc stand alone unit that is made for an s14 blacktop engine. The problem I have is that my car is an s13 redtop and when I put the ecu in I get no spark. Is there any way to get this to work on my car? If so what do I need to do? Any help is greatly appreciated!

You need an Red Top PFC ECU

S14 Black Top ECU will not work on a Red Top Engine, Electronic's are diffenrt and ECU Pin outs are different, sell it and buy the correct one

I know its possible to get the ECU to work with your version of motor. You will have to repin the plug to its proper and corresponding pin and disable VCT. I've seen an S14 standalone ECU work with an S13 motor, but I don't think its works vice versa.

Find ECU pinout of each ecu, and make it happen. Download both FSM's.

Sell it and get the right one if you dont want to spend the time re arranging the wires. Itd be a better choice IMO that way you could go back to the stock ECM need be.
