Has anyone tried Birchwood Casey Super Blue to blacken their chromed trim pieces?

This is a cold bluing especially designed for polished pieces containing nickel or chrome.

I haven't used it but I'd be interested to find out too. I would like my Q with a lot less chrome. A black grille would be pretty nice.

I was looking at a new black QX56 in a parking lot a couple of days ago. My first thought was that black chrome would really improve it's appearance.

My new (to me) 95 Q has the door handles, grille, & trim all blacked out. A huge difference in comparison to my 92 with the chrome intact. I see that mine was just covered up with a very dark tint film. I can see the original chrome underneath in small places where the film has been nicked by miscellaneous debris. I'll take some pictures.
