Very nice Rob. I think I like them on your car more than mine. I honestly think they would look great on any color other than black without getting them tinted, especially on blue or white. There is this blue IS300 parked next to me who has these same style tails and it looks pretty nice.

Dr.,

I think the best pic is from the rear pass. corner where you can also see the roof, the black in the lights REALLY goes well with the blacked out roof, I love that look. Both just add a little TOUCH of black, along with your air splitter on the front, you now have that touch of black the whole way around

B+ for the overall look that the tails add to the car. I think they make your car look better then the stock/blacked out tails, but there is room for improvement.

ok guys, just for an update..

1. I sent the folks at sabersports pictures of my car with the tails installed, and told them to feel free to use my pics in their listings... they in turn sent me a 10% refund for my order, just for allowing them to use my pics... +1 for their customer service.. they definitely didn't have to do that

2. while I do like the theme, i do agree that it is a serious contrast of colors.. as such, I am going to install some 6/10 smoke overlays on them this weekend, and I'll post pics after the install

I really don't mind folks posting their opinions of these, positive or negative! I'm posting these pics so that folks can decide whether or not they would like them on their vehicle and whether or not they want to smoke them with overlays or paint...

Honesty, for the blck coupes... don't give up on these just yet.. with some overlays, I really think the toned down color contrast will look really good on your cars... but of course wait until this weekend and see for yourself!

i love the lights on ur silver car doc..looks real clean. I will wait to see what they looked like smoked but i really want circular led's like on g35. Maybe a retrofited setup like on the lexus is 300 with two circles maybe once around the reverse light housing. Almost like a skyline but in one tail light.

would that be possible. this is a m45 tail light. But i like the dual halo "big" led rings. could u fix the inner ring around the white reverse light part?

I think they will be much better with the overlays. I'm taking LBC up on his offer with the GTR overlays, when he gets them on Friday.

Wasnt there somebody else here who purchased the tails as well?

honestly, there are two guys on this forum that I KNOW could do this... surman and grey_strm .. grey strm isn't really active anymore, but he has, IMO, the nicest set of retro HID lights ever created. A nice Audi R8 looking set... its on here somewhere..

anyway, it is definitely possible!

You should open up the lights and paint the turn signal reflector black.

Agreed, and maybe while you're in there painting the base a gloss black (black coupe) to match your car's paint would help the contrast.
