Blacked Out Heads

So today I got the mod bug and had no money to do anything so I decided i would do my headlight, Ive got a IP and thought it would look sick with black heads since i had them on my Acura and they looked hella nice, i will get pics up as soon as i can, the mod is fairly easy only prob i had was i cracked the chrome piece when i too it out of the lens, dont think its that noticeable unless your really looking at it,

Just to be sure Jerome, this is the right CCFL for the clearance marker right? http://coolerguys.com/840556012009.html And could you point me to the right inverter I'd need to get?

Looks about right. And the inverter is included. However, you're going to need two sets of those, as only one inverter is included per set. You need an inverter for each side (unless you want to run a wire from one headlight to another).

Addiction - I'm not sure if they have Micro Center in Augusta or not, but if so, they have the CCFL and inverters there. They do not have the same inventory on there website as in the store (greater selection in the store). You can also find them at http://www.svc.com.

how did you guys get those blacked out like that. I'm looking at doing that with mine, got all HID's and getting an angeleye HALO kit. Help with some DIY info.

wat kind of paint did you use???? also how the heck u take out the lens cover???

I used normal Semi-Gloss Black spray paint. Its not a hard DIY did mine in a couple of hours. You gotta take the bumper off to get the headlight out and then I used a heat gun to heat up the adhesive holding the lens and housing together. then a few screws here few screws there then paint let dry and reverse. Id say the hardest part was getting the covers to come apart.

how much pressure did it take to break the chrome piece? or did you drop it ... im scared to do mine lol but those images are drawing me to the tools and spray paint ...

i just reheated the sealant and pushed it all back together. some clamps wouldnt hurt just to hold it together while it dries. and I think i broke it when i took it out of the lens and didnt see the clip in the corner. just pay attention take your time and you wont break anything
