I would almost consider it. If I got the chance to grab one for a deal I would in a heartbeat. I would worry about what to do with my current system later. HDMI output + the cable, and an extra 100gb of HDD space is definately worth $80 more dollars.redtop91 wrote:Fresh. I'd rebuy honestly. A 20 GB hard drive is an effin joke.
Yeah but it wouldn't be black.anti_flag_army wrote:i heard that you will be able to buy the 120gb HD to replace the stock 20gb one.
meh... I ****ing hate wifi. There's no point to it, and the last thing I want is 4 kinds of cancer or some crap because I was too lazy to deal with another cord. The damn thing is plugged into a wall anyway.Loki4815 wrote:If it had WiFi I would consider. If it had a built in HD DVD player for $479, I'd buy it ASAP and sell my 360 eventually. Since it has neither....meh. I would like to have a black controller to match my 360, however. Hopefully they will be available for separate sale.
Yes. Expected price is "under $200" which sounds like quite the ripoff to me.anti_flag_army wrote:i heard that you will be able to buy the 120gb HD to replace the stock 20gb one.
Yep. The 360 can make use of external FAT32 USB hard disks.xekushnr wrote:Here's [what I think is] a decent question: couldn't you buy an external USB HDD and use it with your 360?
That's subjective. I think the Elite is WAY sexier than the white systems. White is not sexy. It's bland. Maybe GLOSS white, like the Wii, would look better. The 360's flat, textured white looks bland, neutral, and like an appliance.HashiriyaS14 wrote:and the white systems look cooler.
I was under the impression you could get a third party HDD to work on the 360 without some modification to the hardrive, and 360.HashiriyaS14 wrote:The Elite should've had wifi support....
The HDD issue is irrelevant in either the PS3 or X360, just use third party drives.
Can't for the 360. Although like MoD said swapping out the drives is easy enough.HashiriyaS14 wrote:

The Halo 3 version of the 360 is internally no different than a HDMI equipped Premium version. $349 + $50 is still less than the Elite by about $50. That said, with the halo edition, you are simply paying for the different look.bmike818 wrote:so I got my Halo 3 console...guess what I have to pay $50 so I can get the HDMI dongle for the 360. without it I can either use HDMI w/ no optical or component w/ optical....so my console was 399 + 50= 449 wtf- that's how much a Elite cost..and the Elite comes with that dongle that I need and a bigger hard drive...they should have made a Elite Halo 3 version
