black wire on fuel pump harness? double coil?!?

anyone have a nice fuel pump harness diagram or can answer my question

i notice my fuel pump wires were bunt, so im trying to rewired them, the strange thing i found in the end part of the adapter there is to sections, i has 2 pins the other has 4, in the 2 pin section 2 wires go into a single wire that is multiple level then on my harness the upper level isnt connected and the inner wire connects to the black wire of the fuel pump? anyone know how it is suppose to be?

There aren't many M30 owners here - so you may not get many replies. It might be worth your time to check on eBay to find a service manual, or maybe find another M in a salvage yard (pretty good chance in CA?) using http://www.car-part.com and see if you can look at it to compare...

Does the M have a tri-mode controller (like the Q) of that era or only a single mode pump like most cars?
