I have a 93 hatch with a s13 blacktop and #e5 ecu running 11psi boost. the car was automatic. when I dd the swap I did not hook up the 4th or 5th gear sensors since I thought this would limit my top speed. it runs very well pulls extreamly hard through all the gears untill about 6000rpms in 4th at this point it starts to hesitate shift to 5th same thing no further acceleration spedo is burried so i dont know how fast im going. I was wondering if this has something to do with my car being auto. the at control is still hooked up under the dash does this need to be removed on a 5 speed swap?? but autos dont have a speed limiter anyway so wtf??? I have been searching for answers for ever and found nothing close to my problem. any help anyone could provide would be awsome!!!

Better yet, slow down. Or take it to a track.

I plan on it being a full race car it barley sees the street now. I just wanted some info on the speed limiter not some jerk telling me to slow down!!!!!!

Suggesting that you not drive 120+ on a public highway doesn't make me a jerk, but I would argue that endangering others by going 120+ on a public highway might make you one. =P

But yeah, it's the fuel cut. If you plan on tracking it, most ROM tunes can eliminate it; I'm sure the more expensive standalone systems would too.
