Nope, the M/Fuga line of cars in general are pretty reliable. At least in the US. I can't comment on the oil smell, but the black smoke on hard acceleration is pretty normal IMO. Granted I have the V8, but most of us with the V8 have black soot on our rear bumpers. I've also seen this behavior from cars like the Cadillac CTS-V, etc. That being said, if your car looks like it's 'rolling coal' (YouTube it if you're familiar with what that is), then you have a problem. But a little bit of black smoke that is just barely noticeable when accelerating hard I think is normal.
