Under what circumstances?? On startup? Accelerating? Certain rpm? Load?

check your coolant temp sensor connection. near the front of your intake manifold ,2 wire connector. if its green and crusty inside clean the terminals up and recheck it.

lol could be just bad rings, i have a 94 240 sx and the same problem and it goes through some oil. I bought it from a crock mechanic who says he just did "a complete head and valve job" well nothing is new on the engine, not even the battery and i told him im not a moron which is why i got a 95k mint condition body and probably 75% engine convertable for 1500$. But anyhow, if you step on it and it ****s out black smoke its either running to rich or ur shooting oil past ur rings and some is unburnt?

black smoke = running richblue smoke = burning oilwhite smoke = burning coolant

Normally if you are running abnormally rich I would check the things that Azure mentioned. If all those things check out and are fine, then depending on your mods what you really may need is just some tuning. Get some gauges so you can see what is going on and then go from there.

I have an upgraded fuel pump, the warblo 255lph, do you think this could be the problem? Does the ECU need to be reprogramed or should the fuel pressure reg take care of that?

get a "GAUGE" and check the fuel pressure. should be about 35 psi at idle, then disconnect the vacuum hose from the regulator and it should be about 43 psi.

255lph may be a tad more than the regulator can deal with..

67 gallons per hour would feed a 496 kieth black hemi

Ok thanks, I was thinking about getting an adjustable nismo FPR anyways, hopefully it will help.
