Just picked it up recently. It's pretty nice for my first 240. No real mechanical problems, driver window motor is out, body is clean. Got it for 1300

Going to be doing the SR20 swap this summer; this KA has 143k on it and I want to build a drag car anyway.

Front struts and bushings need replacing, ideas?

Anyway, enjoy.

Black power?

Drag racing an SR?!

SR's are great motors. But for dragging, I'd probably pick a motor with greater torque potential.

As far as the struts & bushings, I don't care what anybody tell you. Get coilovers. The only good strut/spring setup is Koni Yellows w/ Ground Control. But to do that right will cost as must as a $2000 coilover setup anyways. Just get something simple like some Stance GR+ Pros' with Energy Suspension bushings...

If you're gonna drag race it, I'd keep the KA I guess, if your budget allows, get something with more cylinders.

But really, why would you want to drag race a 240? You'd be much better off getting a foxbody or something. More power for less $$$. 240s are built to turn.

Well if you notice in the background, that be my F-body.

What can I say I like straight lines. Just trying something different.

I had a Eclipse GSX once and that was pretty quick. Shoot, my buddy ran a 12.7 in a FWD 420a-T. I think I could make it there with this rig.

I'm not rich, but I can afford the sr20. I'm probably going to end of daily'ing it for a while, and save up whilst on my college budget before I build it to be a bit quicker.Understand, I don't want a 10 second car. Think: 12 second grocery getter.

... says the guy with stock KA's in both his cars... my bad, you've got a cool air intake.

SR isn't good for drag racing? Tell that to the owner of the 5.0 I dusted at the track last weekend, he thought the same thing.

As my car sits, it's a low 13 second car on a stock SR with a stock t25. I spent 2.5k on my SR swap and another $1.5k on a front mount, exhaust, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, blow off valve, wideband and computer tuning. I've been daily driving this setup for 4 years with 0 issues. With a t28 it would be 12 seconds easy.
