The only concern would be the rust.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've driven two high milage PA based Qs (read SALT mine winters) and the only problem was a small rust spot above the rocker panal.

It was a dime size spot.

These bodies had very good galvanizing.

You have to factor in an extra thou for shipping. I would pay upto 6500 and know I have to drop $3000 on maint. stuff/rims tires. Add in the shipping and you have a killer 10.5K(max) car that you can drive for three years with little out of pocket.

I love my B on B.

I got a spoiler for it and I'm betwisxt and between about putting it on (ruins the authanticity). If I do I was thinking of going badgeless like the Bimmer guys do.

A practice that is refreshingly absent from most Q45 owners.

I think this is way over priced for what it is. Notice no bids, I don't think he will get to his reserve.

Amen.

I sold my 94 Black on Black (yes, there was rust) for much less and Wes can tell you it drove just fine. No transmission or engine issues.

The lack of under car and rear wheel well pics tells me it has rust.

I do miss my Black on Black ... until I start Da Beast.

I've always liked the G20 for their spare design and minimal badging.

There are so many Lexi and MB, I figure they have to do it to appear "different".

The Q45 especially are rare enough and minimally badged I have no problem letting the uber cars know what just blew by them, if they can catch a glimpse.

I took the rear badging off. A guy in his late forty getting out of his Lincoln Navigator threw me off when he asked me what kind of Infiniti it was. I feel like before the G35's the Infiniti was like a secret car know one knew about and it is a car people have taken notice to lately.

Never buy ANY item from a seller with no feedback! Plus he is asking WAY too much for it. But if by the off chance that any of you do purchase a Q around the New England area, I would be willing to drive it out to someone who is an ACTIVE member of this forum.

A black on Black Q45a just sold on e-bay last week for $2500!!!...I was bidding but Verizon DSL blows so my internet was down, as usual, at the end of auction time. I'm not sure if this link will work but it was in Cali. with 125K mi. it looked beautiful. It went for $2500 because it was debadged and not listed as an "a" but you can clearly see the active knob next to the TCS button in some of the pictures. I'm praying to God that whoever got it will soon join this site and we will not have another "a" down the drain.

I posted something about that car for goody. It' was being sold as inoprable, as it wouldn't pass CA smog due to injector issues. That said figure 8 injectors and (possibly) a full active rehab, the $2500 Buy It Now listed wasn't too far from a fair/decent price.

And you're right anyone that doesn't know to not buy from someone with NO feedback should have their head examined.

Speaking of "a"s, a couple weeks ago a brown 94a with mocha interior popped up on Cars.com. 70K and it looked like showroom from the pics (but who can really tell). The chassis looked to be at the right ride height.

It was down in VA and of, course I had to call to ask about it [visions of three Qs began dancing in my head, remember I'm a bachelor, also I think I'm a bit Q crazy). I sat in a mocha interior low mi Q last year and really liked it, it had a very rich "look and feel" about it.

Anyway, so I called and the dude said it sold two hours ago---part of me was relieved--laugh. The brown exterior pic was the first pic of this color I've seen. It was kinda odd. But in a cool way.

Peter
