no name company

"manufactured for the KA24DE engine by one of the world's best valve manufacturer in the U.S." = B.S

If it’s the world’s best manufacturer why wouldn’t they put down the name of the company? Shady if you ask me, I wouldn't get them.

KA24DE.com is one of our sponsors and I have to say that I have NEVER heard a complaint about their customer service OR product quality. That's saying something, considering how quickly people like to complain about online transactions. While I normally wouldnt, I have to say that I have faith that these valves are indeed of pretty high quality-- I would expect nothing less from KA24DE.

As far as deciding whether or not to use these valves, you need to let us know about your power goals first. There is a point where oversized high temp valves become necessary and beneficial, but alot of times I'd have to say that dollar for dollar they're not worth it for the lower/medium priced setups.

Ok, so the valves are good, because I found out they are from supertech(I trust them). I am planning to EVENTUALLY go to major horsepower, just not right now. But since the head swap needed to be done, I was just killing 2 birds with one stone. I don't need to do all this now, but I was gonna do it later. Since I have it out now, I figured might as well finish the top part of it. Eventually the goal is 500+ hp, but not right now. But If my valves need to be replaced, what other route is there? Stock valves are expensive (almost the same price as aftermarket from nissan), and the only replecement I found stock size were out of stock. So I went with the slightly oversized. This head work is more prep work for later that I wasn't planning to do just yet, but s*#t happens. (blessing in disguise P.S. I received word from KA24DE.com, and they seem very nice and proper. I'll keep posted once I get the valves and then the head assembled

As far as cheapening up the cost of a head buildup, you can decide to replace only the exhaust valves. The reason people spend so much money on these nitrided high temp valves is because exhaust gas temps get so hot with the turbo that often stock valves cannot take the heat and end up warping and destroying their seal. This heat and resulting warpage is concentrated on the exhaust valves only, as the intake valves get cooled quite a bit with the intake charge-- the exhaust valves obviously dont see much of that cool air passing through, only hot exhaust gasses. This is what I did too, only replace the exhaust side valves, and at 20 psi I have had no problems whatsoever so far.

That's good to know. I justified my actions by saying that I have palns for a full build-up in the future(I even have a spare block). Since I have to do some head work, I might as well get that fully taken care of. So I'll get everything done to the head and be done with that part. I wasn't planning on doing it now, but since I am, I'm just gonna do everything relating to the head. I know it's not necessary now, but it would be in the future, and I should still get some more power and flow from this, sooo bonus!
