Hi All. Have an 09 G37 Convertible with 20,000 miles. This week there are small pieces of black foamy and sticky material shooting intermittently out of all AC vents. Assume something is decomposing- duct, gasket or other. It must be past the filter- filter is clean. I am so disgusted. The car has super low mileage, has been garaged every single day, and the dashboard has a similar cracking and sticky melting type feel in many places. Any ideas for this one?? Thanks. (PS - the black material will stain anything white, to add insult to injury)

Is that a difficult repair?? If it's not fixed, will it eventually stop or get worse?? Thanks for the info.

Ugh. RED is right, it's foam coming apart at the air mix door... I suspect it's something that'll require dash removal, but I could be wrong.

Until one of us can definitively state otherwise, check out the FSM at infinitiservicemanuals.com and see what it looks like in the HVAC section.

Thanks. Sounds complicated. I wonder if it will eventually blow out all the loose foam and that will be it, or more bad news on the horizon. I dread dashboard removal. 20,000 miles and already cracking and sticky in places (always garaged), won't survive removal. Of course it needs a new dash. Ugh is right. First bad Infiniti I've ever had. Something wrong with their materials, similar to the Nissan dashboard issues and class action.

Weird, I've not heard of 'Vert G37's having the sticky dash issue (like the Altima coupes). I've not heard of this foam issue either.
