Alright......Maybe it was her hate instead of ignorance that got her punched out. Is that better? Look....the way I see it is that no one gets hit for no reason. Hitting someone in most cases is the last resort, but like said earlier....I wasn't there, nor do I know what was said, but Im sure something was said to provoke the violence, but whatever she said....I bet she will NOT say it again. If she repeats her actions...she will be declared as ignorant.

How in the hell can you say both things at the same time and not comprehend the contradiction. The first statement is a certain fact, the second is definitely not. You should stick with this one.

Because the only ones who do know what actually happened are the people who were there and I don't think any of us were.

And people get hit all the time for no reason. I know because I have hit people for no reason. Well, no acceptable reason.

Nope.

I can hate whoever the hell I want. That's my right. You gonna advocate a punch for me too?

Are you the Thought Police? If I want to have racist thoughts, they're none of your damn business. I can tell a racist joke, I can have racist propaganda in my possession, and I can teach my kids to be little goose-stepping racists, and there's not a damn thing you (or any other pantywaist libby) can do about it.

(BTW, that was all theoretical... or maybe it wasn't.... )
UpStar wrote:Look....the way I see it is that no one gets hit for no reason.
Hmmm, interesting... coming from a libby....

I always say, "No one gets beaten by the police for no reason." "No one gets arrested for no reason." "No one gets accused of a crime for no reason."

Care to explain? Or would you prefer to just admit that you have no idea what you're talking about?

So, you're advocating violence against people for what they say? Sounds pretty ignorant to me.

Perhaps she should have just been gang-raped for what she said. After all, that'll teach her to keep her big mouth shut.

Go grab a dictionary and look up "misogyny".

Whatever were you thinking

Here's something you guys will enjoy......

The Good Wife's Guide

From Housekeeping Monthly, 13 May, 1955.

* Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed. * Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people. * Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it. * Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dustcloth over the tables. * During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction. * Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet. * Be happy to see him. * Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him. * Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours. * Don't greet him with complaints and problems. * Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work. * Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. * Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice. * Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him. * A good wife always knows her place.

Honestly, I'm generally of the mind that no one should be slugging ANYONE, race/gender irregardless, just for saying something. We have laws against it for a reason, it's idiotic. Anyone can say anything, that doesn't mean you have a right to beat the shxt out of them for it. There's no statement that is too extreme to laugh off or ignore, and anyone who disagrees is a vagina.

This is a bar fight, ultimately. Thus, I'm not sure what it has to do with POTUS. If The President (ANY President) took time out of his day to even address this, I'd be roundly horrified. This is petty and irrelevant.

I hope the guy goes to jail, he seems like a real prize.

Mind your business and don't hit your fellow citizens unless they're trying to physically harm you. I can't think of two other "rules" that are of greater import to any organized society. If people followed these rules, we wouldn't need such a nanny state.
