black lining on the metal of the 240..

how do i remove that.. 1/4 in-ish sheet of black-goop looking thing on the base of the car [interior]?

i wouldve posted in interior forum.. but hardly anyone goes there..

any help asap would be greatly appreciated

lets see. are you refering to the sound deadening or seam sealer? either way you have to sand it or chisel it away.

its black, kinda rubbery, under the seats of the car right on the metal of the car.. when it gets hot it gets a little goopy.. i dotn know what it might be.. sound deadening maybe? didnt look like it was sealing any seams.

yeah its the sound deadening do a search through the 240 forum on removing sound deadening, gutting car, ect...Ive heard alot of people use dry ice to make it brittle so that it can just be cracked and scraped off..mine has started just dropping off in the passenger side foot well, I think my spring rate might be to stiff
