I think Infiniti's are relatively rare to start with.2007 sales show about 54000 G sold. Of that, roughly 1 of every 3 is a coupe. That means about 17,500 coupes were sold in 2007. If the numbners were similar in 2004 (which I think is optimistic to believe) then, I would guess maybe 15 percent were black/black. This means, there might be as many as 2500 twins out there, but probably fewer. Of course, these numbers are guesses based on 2007 sales, and the color is a guess. Regardless, probably few are as clean as yours appears to be in the picture.

I think black is in the middle of the road.

I think there are more white, silver, and graphites out there, but less blue and gold ones. I'd call it a tie with red.

I think a black interior is a 50/50 shot. Look at carmax.com. On their site you can get a decent breakdown of what is currently available.

To get a clean 04 black on black, it seems pretty hard to find. Looks like you found a nice one!

I drove 4 hours to get mine! Its still a 2 hour drive to the nearest dealer in Greensboro,NC or Richmond,VA! I guess its not Infiniti's fault I live too far away, but under an hour would be nice!

I got a clean black on black 04 too... I loved it much more than the other silvers and red with aluminum, I found one with the maple wood too, no nav, but I'm planning better anyway lol I just bought a nice leather jacket to match the maple, now that's pathetic... haha

I'd say finding a 6MT with Navi is generally harder to find. Most Navis came in auto equipped G's. But, my G was a black on black 6MT with Navi and Aero...

I had to go to 2 dealers to find my red one. The first one didn't even have a red G and didn't want to find me a red one so I said screw them. Drove just over 2 hours to see about getting a red one and the salesman had to buy it from another dealership...it still had yet to be shipped.

Didn't realize red was so rare. I thought the navy blue was rarest.

And there are gold ones?

Well I tell you what is probably the Rarest, and that is a Sedan with a 6MT, aero, and Nav. I would say that probably 3% of the sedans where 6MT

It is funny becasue i found mine in auto trader. the guy lived like 1 mile from my house.

The next closest 6mt sedan was in Miami 5 hrs away.

Now mine is a one of a kind (Coupe Mid Pipe, 19's, K&N intake) LOL

I had a hard time finding mine when I was looking for it.. I got black/wheat but I'm converting it to have black interior. Well at least the leather is going to be black.

Welcome,

Nice call on the ride, I had the same feeling about the other colors, and specifically, if you're getting a 03-04 sedan, it's gotta be black cause the black ground effects look absolutely hideous on the other colors...

I dunno, I looked at an 06 in red, and the 04 in black... the 1st gen came out on top... likely cause it was cheaper, less milage, RWD as opposed to the red 06 G35x, and it had the spoiler and maple interior... I think it's just plain sexy though... The black plastic just blends smoothly into the black paint, you have to look for it to pick it out. If I was looking at the 07-08, I think I would go white, or maybe just black again, but I'm yet to experience these black seats in the summer!!!

Mine is an 07 Coupe, 6MT, black on wheat, with NAV, Limited Slip Differential, and RAS (Rear Active Steer). Very, very rare! Only thing lacking is a Sattelite radio--which I don't really care for.

The guy i bought my car from gave me my ride with all the options because the night before, someone in the dealership had sold the G-35 Coupe I was going to get the next morning. I was pis**d and weeping

So, the next day, he called me back and told me he had a better deal. he said, he was going to throw in the RAS for just $200 over the one sold the night before which did not have the RAS.

I had no idea what RAS meant or what it did. So, i said, why not, how much more is $200 going to hurt my pocket than the cost of the car? Now, i am glad I bought the RAS.

The "full price" for RAS was $7xx on my G according to my sticker. Saving $500 is good, but it's not a super expensive option as one might think; I certainly thought so.

And..... the more ppl are talking about their black G's is starting to make it sound like we all don't have such an unusual thing after all.I too have black coupe, manual, every stinking option, etc..... I never have considered mine "rare".

Seems like I see black G's every now and again. Maybe not as much as, say, a silver sedan or something, but it's certainly not a major event when I see one.
