black chrome wheels

i was looking on the threads yesterday and i saw some g35 wheels that they had black chromed. i thought they looked real good. i cant for the life of me find that thread. I had a couple of questions about them for the owner. thanks!

those wheels are a VERY POOR representation of what black chrome looks like... actually, I wouldn't even call them black chrome... black chrome looks much better than that...

basicaly, real black chrome is shiny like chrome, but the color of gunmetal...

Doc is right . The G35 wheels in the example are a poor reprensetation because they are not black chrome at all.

OP The 19" rays on the grey ac in the example post appear stock silver or light grey, while the 18" on the white altima I believe are powdercoated dark grey/gunmetal or hyper/carbon black - not black chrome. Although there seem to be a few shades grey/"black" -

I don't think you can go wrong with any ONE of them - but it can be confusing shopping for rims and truely knowing how the color will look.

I think this is where some of the terms are being confused .



My grill is black chrome - you can see the difference between it and the regular chrome infiniti emblem. Black Chrome appears like a smoke tint over chrome - as opposed to a grey or silver.

OP - were the rims in the example post the ones you were thinking of?

Those are Boss motorsports 328 wheels... they stioll make those in Black chrome I believe, but don't quote me... last I heard, BOSS was going towards a "black diamond" look as opposed to Black chrome

Also, as Cali stated, some model G35's come with black chrome grills, and the 4th generation Altima Dedans have a "black chrome" look inside the headlights

well i was looking into wheels but i didnt want chrome and i didnt want black. so i figured i could go with a little of both. I thought it would look good on my red coupe.

I have never claimed that I have “black chrome wheels”.

My wheels are “powder coated” a color called “black chrome” and look like a slightly darker shade of “gun metal” gray

Man you are right the wheels are hot. I love the black chrome look. After a little digging on the web I found another example of a black chrome wheels.
