black box under my dash

OK. Looks like I finally got my car runnin. I was having trouble cranking my car. I followed the diagram and I check underneath my dash n I see a yellow wire connecting to the black n white wire ( ignition wire). This yellow wire prevent me from cranking my car. I followed the wire and I see a black box. Idk wats the black box is for. Can it be a some sort of alarm system? Is this box made for this car (factory installed) ?

PS. I do have this red LED on my center console (above my shift boot) and it keeps blinking.
