Whats the black box that a hose connects to fron the intake? what does it do? cuz i had that open for awhile when i had my engine intake. and i didnt cover it. is that a bad thing? cuz ever since i had my intake on i got very bad mpg.

it's the air box for the aiv system....cover it or filter it up dude, or your cat will slowly begin to clogged....
