This seems like a simple question so I tried searching and found nothing.

What is the purpose of the black box that sits back on the SR valve cover and has the O2 sensor connector attatched to it?It looks like it may have something to do with the blow off through the valve cover? I followed it all the way back and it looks like it goes back into the block?Anyways what is it's purpose and can it be removed, I will be putting a catch can in also.

So can I remove the box?The valve cover has two blow off things that go in opposite directions. Can I run one line to the line where the black box connected and the other T on the cover to my can?

Alright I am sort of confused. Is there supposed to be a hose of sorts that runs from the valve cover blow by to the black box because on my motor there was no hose on the top of the box or either hole on the valve cover.

So if i want to run a catch can, one side I should hook up the black box to the valve cover and the other out on the valve cover can goto my can?
