It all depends on how big your wing is?

Hahaha
Well, OP cars don't typically have blackboxes although I remember reading some articles back in the day of how some manufacturers had the ability of the ECU to behave like a blackbox for a few moments. Since it is possible to read OBD 2 freeze frame history, the car would also store some of this key info leading to an incident.
Your car actually
reads a lot of info, think about the VDC system and the automatic braking... And the voice recognition/noise cancellation features. I know it reads, which requires short term memory to process, but I have no idea if it records the info long term.
This feature was supposed to be helpful for accident investigations (whether by driver or vehicle fault), and it would be able to corroborate stories like the runaway Toyotas where the driver would input X expecting Y and the vehicle would output Z.
I don't think I ever saw mention of which manufacturers were doing it, neither have I ever seen anyone boast about it.
I'm sure it would be a PR nightmare with all the privacy concerns our society has. However, I think if enough money was involved, someone could get that info within a few minutes of plugging in.
