Black and Brown Wire help!!!!!

i have a blacktop s13 sr20det, and down by the alternator and starter there is a brown and a black wire that have been stripped but dont connect to anything...WHAT DO THEY DO?!

I have a black wire and a brown or orange wire (I'm color blind as hell) in my lower harness that doesn't connect to anything. I think you're ok but I'm not sure
