black 240 headlgiht housing? yes i did search

there's tons of headlight threads on here and ive looked at pretty much all of em.

i was wondering if anyone had those black pop ups with a clear lens?

like the housing behind the bulb is black but you can see into it because of the clear lens.

i saw a pair in a project car mag. thought they'd look nice.

anyone know of any pictures?

i think it would give a sleeker look to a usually not so sexy headlight.

i love popups over silvia lamps, but no one really does anything with them but yellow them or go supermade style.

Black housing and glass lens = they be caca....light output is terrible just buy sylvanias or go hid retrofit and spend the rest of your money somewhere else

thats what i meant. an hid blub in a black housing.

i just want to see it on a car with popups. simple single headlights but black.

I've seen those in a few threads not too long ago. I'm not gonna dig it up for you though.

They look decent but I'm sure they're horrible at night.

i have a pair i got for free in my garage... thats where they are staying... they dont output any light.... and they make the car look like it has a black eye

so the reflector would be painted? How the heck is the light going to reflect off it so you could see at night? Hid bulb...sounds like a terrible idea to me. Projector retrofit is a different story.
