I just finished front suspension work on my new 94 Q last week. So this week I decided to start to tackle the stumbling and hesitation she has when I press on the accelerator. This happened only after she is already moving at highway speeds say 45 mph and I want to gently go up to 55 I would have to press very far so it shifts down to pick up speed. Anyway, the first thing I thought I would try was a can of BK44G (or is it BG44K) because I had such good luk with this stuff on my 92 Q. I put one can in on a half tank of gas and within 4 miles the 'check engine light' cames on and at least one injector became very clogged. Needless to say the hesitation is still there and she runs very rough. I have been very gentle and am trying to drive her, hoping the BK will clean out the fouled injector, but I have my doubts this time. Any ideas as to what was causing the original problem? I will be replacing all injectors and hoses related next week. Any thing else I should do to try to get all the power this engine is capable of?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.Mark

Well, did you change your fuel filter first? I would assume you loosened some gradoo that was in you fuel delivery system, probaly beyond your filter, and it has clogged your rotary disc pintles. Of course, one has to ask how you know any particular injector became clogged? I assume your engine is very rough and vibrates quite severely?

More data, please. How many miles? Summary of recent maintenance?

California gasoline additives kill injectors, and probably any rubber in the fuel delivery system.

The car just hit 100,000. I just bought it about 3 weeks ago. I am unsure of any real work done on it other than what seems to be fairly good regular servicing and repairs as required. I did not change the filter first. Should I have? I am only guessing just one injector is glogged but could be more - all are going to be repalced next week.

The fuel filter is supposed to be changed at like 30k intervals, I do it at half that..... $10 from Joe, and if you really want to you can buy an aftermarket one until you get an OEM....

Im agreeing with Brian.. Your going to have to check and see if the injector is clogged (and operating right) or if it is broken (check the resistance)

In order to get it back, youll need a fuel rail flush.....

Elwesso is right-on. Run the VIN at a dealer or call Ininfinti Customer service to get the dealer performed maintenance history.
