Also one of the best Game Reviews I've seen. This may be the best game...ever...made. (Judging by this video alone)

I refuse to judge games based on videos. I've been burned too many times. Not saying Bioshock 3 isn't going to be awesome, I enjoyed the first one quite a bit.

Dude, they definitely covered everything that gets me stoked about any game. I gotta get it.

I'm a sucker for exploration and scenery immersion.

Played two hours this morning. So far, so f*** MIND BLOWING. This is without a doubt the best first person shooter experience I've had since Half life, if not better. Every inch of the game is packed full of details that are rewarding to pay attention to. And the theme of America being a religion? Goddamn brilliant. Ugh, I could go on...but just play the game!

Yeah.. I think I have to pick this up. I played but never beat the first one, but enjoyed it. I trust Adam Sessler's opinion, especially in the way he presented it.

Funny you mentioned Half Life, I consider that to be the pinnacle of all shooters. I still play the Half Life 2 series all the time.

I honestly wasn't all THAT interested in this game until I started hearing about how well the character development between Elizabeth and the main character is done. Alyx helped make Half Life 2, and even though in a lot of ways she didn't really DO much, her character added a lot to the game's world. I'm going to have to buy this one eventually.

Whelp, found a game-breaking bug. While doing the Chen mission, you have a choice to go through a "tear" if you want to continue you to explore rather than jump to a different area (Which I assume going through does, I decided to go back and do the cipher quest), then come back later, the sound plays but nothing happens. Reloaded the game and nothing. Now can pogress :/

Damn you for posting this! I've been trying to cut down on what I buy with next-gen consoles on the horizon. I'm going to shower, grab some food, pick this up and spend the night in Columbia (bachelor weekend...Holli's out of town).

Nice to see The Sez finally shave his head and ditch the male pattern baldness that's been growing over the years (since Tech TV).

Besides the tone and a couple references, there is not much you would be missing out on besides playing two also good games (Bioshock 1 is MUCH better than 2)

Would I ruin the first games if I played infinite first?

Also, just bought Infinite today. The reversible sleeve cover is too fcuking legit. I've never seen that on a game.

I love reversible covers for games. Gets all the legal garbage out of the way when it's on display on the shelf. The Ico/Shadow of the Colossus HD combo had a beautiful one. Twisted Metal had one, too.

Infinite is only very loosely connected to the first two. You won't run anything.

Just finished it last night...I must study quantum mechanics. It is, without a doubt, the most memorable video game experience I've had. Played it on very hard so I'm going to go through it on easy to enjoy more thoroughly enjoy it.

I'm just waiting for my tax return to arrive so I can pretend justify spending $60 on a PC game, and then I'm on this like a V8 sport sedan.

Yeah, I just started. First hour was awesome so far. I went to the woods to go hunting though. Back now, and about to go fire it back up. I wish I had a good enough PC to play this already. I'm broke though... :(

God f*** s*** a** damn f*** ****** s*** f*****.

Spoilers below this point.

I made like 3 hours worth of progress last night, saw so many autosaves, and now I'm all the way back to where I started last night. Why the s*** can't they just incorporate manual saves???? Everything else about this game is awesome, but I'm tired of playing the same part over and over. I played the fireman at the beginning 4 times. FOUR f*** TIMES. Just cause the game can't save a file properly.

I played all the way through where I was INSIDE COMSTOCK'S MANSION. Now I'm back to being recently thrown out of the airship by Daisy Fitzroy, who I've already killed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I really do like this game, but s*** this is so goddamn annoying to the point that I almost don't wanna play anymore. f***.

Oh. My. s***. AND IT STILL HAS ALL MY ACHIEVEMENTS. And collectibles. Lime the viewfinder/telescopes give you the sightseer thing? Yeah, all the ones I've found don't pop up any new numbers. As if I've already been there. But apparently I only rate to continue from 3 hours of gametime back. I'm so f*** mad. I have the achievement for helping the gunsmith, but I haven't even met him according to where my current save file is. So. Damn. Frustrating. Almost ready to put the controller down before I throw it through my TV.

In short...consoles are for chumps... I do hate the autosave function though. I'll get through a really tough fight, go a good 5 minutes ahead of it, quit, then on next startup be before the really tough fight again (1999 mode blows a**)
GIVE ME SOME GODDAMN SALTS AN..er.. ELIZABETH. She did it so often even on hard too.

Oh. My. Schite. I beat it, and I'm not even mad about the saves anymore. The story makes up for so much of the schiesty save system.

My Jesus. So like. Wat. And like, agh!

And then, like, wow. THAT ENDING! I gotta replay the last chapter, because apparently there's more awesome after the credits, which I accidentally skipped.

The only bad thing I have to say about the story is how fast the what-the-f*** came towards the end.

Yeah, let's do that. I'll change the thread title so people don't come in here if they don't want to spoil the game.

Ok, so on the end.... If she killed him.... Then there is a 0% chance of Comstock ever existing. So therefore, He could never have sold Anna to, well, himself.... So there's no chance of Elizabeth ever existing either. That's why she disappeared at the end, in all her iterations.

So here's my thought process. Since Comstock now has a 0% chance of existing, does Booker raise Anna as his daughter?

I would say that since Elizabeth doesn't exist, she can't drown him. However, if that were true, and everything reset, then only the realities with Comstock existing would end (preemptively) with the both of them dying. So therefore, the only possible permeations of existence would be ones where Booker didn't sell Anna.

String theory is crazy hard to comprehend, and this is only concerning two characters over a relatively short period of time. Like, damn. This is officially my favorite series, and I haven't even played the other two. I need to now.

Booker drowning at the end is the beginning of a grandfather paradox. Liz shows him why he must die, he drowns himself to prevent all possible Comstocks from existing, she fades from existence, and the multi-verse rights itself. The paradox would be if Liz had never existed, nobody would convince Booker to off himself, so then Comstock would happen, and the paradoxical cycle would continue.

Until I thought of it this way;

Multi-verse theory states that a universe is spawned for every choice we make. Booker made a choice to go to the baptism after Wounded Knee. Which means there's an infinite number of universes where Booker made the choice NOT to go to the baptism. By offing himself at the baptism, he effectively collapses all universes with Comstock and Booker-who-refused-baptism but this would leave all universe where Booker never went to the baptism. This would in effect allow the ending to work the way it did and still be clear of a paradox (although you could surmise that all the Comstock/Booker-who-refused-baptism realities would be stuck in a paradox loop).

One thing to remember is that all the Comstocks in all the realities took all the Annas. Whether it be by stealing or by Booker willingly giving her up. I can't remember where exactly it's stated, but I'm 99% certain that there's a voxophone with Ms. Lutece mentioning that Comstock would steal the girl if Booker didn't give her up. Or something to that nature. But that plays into Liz's mention of the constants (Booker, Liz, Columbia, and Comstock) being in every reality.
